As of September 30, 2023, IBM ended standard support for the i 7.3 operating system. Shortly thereafter, IBM dropped more big news by announcing it will sunset service for its Power8 Server range in 2024.
IBM also announced the Power9 systems and features have been withdrawn from marketing, which means you can no longer upgrade your Power9 through IBM (via an MES).
